Llanelli Town AFC

The full-time Football League visitors had a little too much in their locker against a Reds` side who nevertheless put on a confident display which augurs well for the season ahead. In particular, they seem to have unearthed a gem in the shape of 16 year-old goalkeeping debutant, Kai Rees, who took the place of Craig Morris for the second half, and showed his prowess with a string of excellent saves. The Glovers` won  the contest courtesy if goals by Otis Khan and Francois Zoko in either half, although the first chance came the way of the hosts when goalkeeper Jonny Maddison was forced to turn over an audacious lob by Jordan Davies which was destined for the top corner.

Olufela Olomola tested Morris with a well placed effort, before the visitors took the lead on 25 minutes through Khan whose free kick from outside the box evaded everyone in the middle before nestling in the net. Yeovil then had a chance of doubling the advantage after Nathan Smith was hauled down in the box by Anthony Finselbach for a penalty, but the kick by Rhys Browne was tipped on to the post by Morris to keep the score at 1-0.

A completely changed visiting side emerged for the second half with eleven changes being made by manager Darren Way, and Zoko was twice denied by Rees with smart saves from close range. The Reds` young keeper was being kept busy, but stood up to everything which came his way, before with the last kick of the game, Zoko was rewarded for his persistence with a goal from close range.

An entertaining game in front of a 381 crowd, and the home side can feel well pleased with their overall display against full-time opponents,
