Llanelli Town AFC

The writing was on the wall early on for the South Wales Alliance side on their first ever visit to Stebnheath when James Loveridge opened the scoring after just two minutes, taking advantage of some inept defending.

And  this proved to be the springboard for an almost incessant Reds` onslaught, with their opponents hopelessly outclassed for most of the contest.

Loveridge notched up his brace on 12 minutes when he was found in acres of space, and Lewis May in the Cogan goal was the busiest player on the field, denying the hosts on a number of occasions.

He could not, however, prevent the home side from going  further ahead in the 21st minute with Jordan Davies finishing off from a Joe Clarke assist, while within a minute Loveridge completed his hat-trick when he was again allowed far too much freedom before firing past May.

A Davies corner to the far post found Lee Bevan whose header back into the middle was turned in by Clarke in the 34th minute to establish a five goal cushion at the break.

Normal service was resumed three minutes after the restart with Davies playing in Chris Jones who found the bottom corner, while his namesake, Luke, further increased the advantage from the spot on 56 minutes after Loveridge had been brought down in the box.

The Reds were guilty of missing a glut of chances when it seemed easier to score, but did add two more to the total prior to the close, with Clarke getting his second in the 76th minute, while Kurtis March finished off proceedings on 81 minutes after being sent clear by a Liam Samuel pass.

An useful run-out for the home side, but they will certainly face far stiffer opposition when the serious business gets  underway .
